Behavior
Produces a continuous audio waveform while Enable
is 1. Frequencies from 20 Hz
through 20,000 Hz are audible. An unknown frequency uses 440 Hz; frequencies outside the
audible range produce no sound. Removing the component or stopping its circuit stops the
sound.
Pins
- Frequency (14 bits)
-
Selects the frequency using the unit chosen by
Frequency
: Hz or decihertz (0.1 Hz). - Enable (1 bit)
- Sound is generated only while this input is 1.
- Volume
-
Selects the amplitude from silence at 0 to the maximum at the largest value supported by
the configured
Volume Bit Width
. - Duty Cycle (8 bits)
- Selects the high portion of a square-wave period from 0/256 through 255/256. An unknown value uses 128/256. This input does not affect sine, triangle, sawtooth, or noise output.
Attributes
- Facing
- The direction in which the component faces.
- Select Location
- Selects the side on which the duty-cycle input is placed.
- Frequency
- Selects Hz or dHz (0.1 Hz) as the frequency input unit.
- Volume Bit Width
- The bit width of the volume input.
- Waveform
- Selects sine, square, triangle, sawtooth, or noise.
- Channel
- Routes the sound to both stereo channels, the left channel, or the right channel.
- Smooth Level
- Selects how many smoothing passes are applied to non-sine waveforms.
- Smooth Window Width
- Selects the window width used by each smoothing pass.
- Label
- The text associated with the component.
- Label Font
- The font used to draw the label.
Poke Tool Behavior
None.
Text Tool Behavior
Allows the label associated with the component to be edited.
